He was a very young man working yesterday when I stopped in the middle of a long ride for a front derailleur adjustment. The cable had slipped and it wouldn't shift. Your mechanic fixed the problem quickly and cheerfully, adjusting the rear derailleur while he was at it, and had me going in 15 minutes, even though it was obviously a very busy time. Our Service Department
The service department at Alberto's is staffed with the most experienced technicians on the North shore. Our newest tech has over 10 years of experience and all of our techs actually ride bikes. This helps them better understand your perspective when you are having a problem. Whether it's hunting down that annoying squeak or creak that no one can identify, building you a new wheel, recommending new parts, or tuning up your race machine, the techs at Alberto's have the knowledge and tools to get the job done right.
Scheduling Your Service
Simple repairs like replacing a punctured tube or installing an accessory can generally be done while you wait. Bikes purchased from Alberto's receive a free check-up that can be completed within 24 hours with an appointment.
For most other repairs you will need to leave your bike with us for a few days. When you bring your bike in, you will be given a repair assessment, price estimate and turnaround time for the repair. In the event additional labor or parts are needed to complete the repair, prices may be adjusted and you will be notified. During the peak season (March 1 - October 31) the time it takes to complete repairs can take as little as 1 week or several weeks if we need to order parts. We recommend making an appointment in order to minimize your down time.
